OS X

Sometimes you want to see how the lights and darks in your image are distributed. Histogram shows you where they are graphically. You can adjust to suit using the Brightness and Contrast controls and also the Hue , Saturation, and Lightness, Gamma Adjust controls, and also the Enhance submenu in the Image menu which has several automatic adjustments available.

Last on our Tour of Compositor is the Zoom window. This is a floating window that lets you see a 2X copy of your current mouse position over the window. What is innovative about this one is that when you stop moving the mouse for a second or so, you get an Anti-Aliased version replacing the nearest neighbor version. The anti-aliasing is done with one of the filters available in the Scale Image dialog, where you have 3 interpolation options to choose from.

There is much more in Compositor that hasn't been shown due to bandwidth and other space considerations. Download Compositor and start your creative journey, or add its innovative features to your existing graphic toolbox.
