Compositor features a nice tool palette with popup icons and color quick-picker too. You can double click some tools to bring up additional options. All operations in Compositor are done in 24-32 bit RGB image space. Compositor will attempt to maintain any existing alpha channels if the preference for that is checked and the format supports it. You can create, delete and edit Alpha channels in Compositor as of v2.9 for OS X.


Compositor features a full featured set of image enhancement tools! These rival the power of the industry standards. Curves and Level, Autolevels, Auto Contrast, and more. The Curves dialog has a Random feature which can make quick work of artistic color shifts.

Compositor features a nice Brush control palette. You can toggle it up or down to show the edit controls, and also toggle it from white on black to black on white. Your preference. Save and load sets. 13 blend modes.


Open close, toggle that brush hose. This palette controls applications of Fill (opacity) and things like line strength, and more via the opacity/ strength slider.
