Finally?
Compositor is receiving a major technical revamp to support 10.6 Intel, 10.6 Lion and beyond... same Compositor-goodness but a new name (perhaps), speed improvements and feature overhaul (soon) - note that some Compositor features may be temporarily removed in the transition but will come back in subsequent releases. All new registrations for Compositor will be valid for the re-vamped. There may be an upgrade charge for prior registrant. Some users have enjoyed free updates since 2001. I appreciate your support

Note to new comers: Artly There's Compositor was developed and established in 2000 and has so far survived the journey from MacOS Classic to MacOS X and now, from PPC to Intel processors. Compositor is used around the world by discerning Mac-using artists to develop incredible art and photo-to-art pictures in a fraction of the time it takes other products to even start up. As the new model is finessed, old features will get a facelift, new features will be installed as able. Again, thank you for your support.

(The release price of the new version is yet to be determined but of course, same as ever, will be competitive, and a good value.)




Finally...

Version 2.16.0 of Compositor is released. Some bug fixes, adds support for images larger than 4095 pixels on a side, since Digicams have caught up to the limits of PICT some time back. Adds crash recovery feature in case of calamity, which nabs the history files on the next run for some measure of recovery of workflow.




New Goodies

Version 2.15.0 of Compositor is released. Some bug fixes, adds splits for L*a*b* and YUV working spaces. You can use the F1 key for L* only, or F3 for Y only and while the luminance channel is the topmost image, press F2 to send it back ot the parent image after adjustments.

Version 2.11.0/v2.11.2 of Compositor are released. Lots of bug fixes, several cool new features: Tiled Poster Printing, CMYK Balance, Rectangular Gradients, and lots more. v2.11.2 fixes some bugs reported in OS X 10.3.x only.




Compositor v2.10.0 Released along with New Web Site

Greetings. Finally... Prior version was v2.9.9.

Version 2.10 seems lower just looking at it, but it's a good full feature set notch up. Think 2.10.0...instead of 2.9.10...

Anyhow...running out of non 3.0 numbers, but waiting for layers for 3.0 release.

This version has some really exciting selection features. The Select Grid option can make for some wild results, plus Select Image can use the image itself as the mask...so you can tone up just the darks, the lights, the midtones...etc.


The Crunch

As usual, crunch time for a new release, long delayed. This will v2.10, next will be v2.10.1 etc. Lots of bug fixes, several cool new features. More selection power than ever. The new Gem Finder selection tool is way cool...brings Mat mode to Tool mode, with some nice mirroring options.
